John Woody spent 26 years in middle Tennessee doing HVAC work the way it should be done. Honest. Timely. Direct. He learned early that the small things matter—showing up when you promise, explaining what needs fixing without the jargon, and treating every home like your own.

In 2007, John moved to Southwest Florida. He kept working in the trade, building skills on every job. But after 16 years here, he realized something: he wanted to build a business the way he'd always believed it should run. Not chasing volume. Not cutting corners. Just solid work from someone who knows the equipment inside out.

He got his Florida State AC License in 2023. Al Good Heating and Cooling opened its doors in 2024 as a family-owned operation in Cape Coral. John brought 28 years of residential heating and air conditioning experience—and the freedom to run it exactly how he believed it should be.

Fair and honest pricing starts with telling you what's actually wrong, what needs fixing now, and what can wait. We've seen too many people charged for work they didn't need. It doesn't happen here. If your system needs preventive maintenance, we'll show you why. If it needs repair, we'll explain what broke and fix it right the first time.

Timely service means showing up when we say. When your air conditioning fails in summer or your heat goes out, you don't need us promising fast and delivering slow. We schedule around your needs, and we show up ready to work. We service all makes and models—heating systems, air conditioning units, ductwork, thermostats, everything.
